The Cobb & Douglas Health Foundation was established in 2020 through the merger of the Cobb Health Futures Foundation and the Douglas Health Futures Foundation, both originally founded in 1994. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), the foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of Cobb & Douglas Public Health, dedicated to fundraising for critical, underfunded public health needs in Cobb and Douglas counties.
The foundation meets quarterly (February, April, August, and October) and is currently comprised of fourteen members. Each member serves a two-year term and may be re-elected for up to two additional terms, totaling six years of service.
